Royal Mo filly makes it three in a row

16th October 2026

Stone Hill Stud’s graded stakes winning stallion Royal Mo is the sire of progressive filly Elisa Mbali.
The latter made it three wins in a row when she won the fifth race at TAB Turffontein on Thursday.
Trained by Heather Adamson, four-year-old Elisa Mbali powered home, under Calvin Habib, to record a hatrick of wins with a near three-parts of a length victory.

It was a smart effort from Elisa Mbali, who had received a hike in her merit rating.

Bred by Klawervlei Stud, the Royal Mo filly is owned by Messrs P L De Lange & J Wolff.

Elisa Mbali, who is out of the Captain Al mare Sitia, has a Vercingetorix half-sister (Lot 64) on offer at the October Two Year Old Sale.

Her sire Royal Mo went close to recording a double at TAB Turffontein on Thursday with his daughter Nixie Girl finishing a close second in Thursday’s second race.

Royal Mo’s late, great sire Uncle Mo continues to exert a considerable influence on the North American stud book.
Not only is Uncle Mo’s champion son Nyquist fourth on North America’s Leading SIres premiership, but another son, Yaupon, is North America’s Leading Second Crop Sire, by earnings, for 2026. Uncle Mo’s dual Breeders’ Cup winning son Golden Pal is the Leading First Crop Sire, by earnings, in North America thus far.
