Varsfontein Stud’s top-class sire Master Of My Fate enjoyed a feature race double over the weekend.
His top-class three-year-old daughter Anotherdanceforme made it seven wins from eight starts when she romped home to a brilliant victory in Friday’s Listed Breeders Guineas with Master Of My Fate gelding Jet Force going on to win the Listed Play ‘N Go Jet Master Stakes at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth the following day.

Under Richard Fourie, Anotherdanceforme was always travelling well in Friday’s 1600m contest. When asked the question, the Alan Greeff trained sophomore kicked into overdrive and powered away to thrash her outclassed rivals by an emphatic four and a quarter lengths.
In landing the 2026 Breeders’ Guineas, Anotherdanceforme picked up the fourth black type win of her career, with this tally headed by the 2025 G2 SplashOut Golden Slipper (where she vanquished subsequent G1 World Sports Betting Cape Fillies Guineas winner Quickstepgal into second).

Anotherdanceforme, a full-sister to 2024 Listed Sweet Chestnut Stakes winner Princess Izzy, is out of the What A Winter mare Destiny Dancer.

Friday’s winner was a R650 000 purchase from the 2024 National Yearling Sale.

Anotherdanceforme’s inform sire struck again when Jet Force won Saturday’s Play ‘N Go Jet Master Stakes (1600m). Under Grant Van Niekerk, the gelded four-year-old raced off the pace early on in Saturday’s R275 000 contest. The Grant Van Niekerk ridden Jet Force stormed home down the outside of the track to get up in the shadow of the post and win by a long neck.

Maine Chance Farms’ G1 winning stallion Querari is enjoying another fine run with his two-year-olds.
The son of Oasis Dream came up with his sixth two-year-old winner this season when his daughter Twilight made a winning debut at Turffontein on Thursday.
Trained by Michael Azzie, the two-year-old was given a fine ride by Keagan De Melo in Thursday’s Classic Day 7 March Maiden Juvenile Plate (1000m).
De Melo kept his mount just off the front running Catfish, before bringing Twilight with a strong run to get up and win by just over half a length.

Bred by Maine Chance Farms, Twilight races for the Wernars Family.

The filly is held in high regard by her connections, with Twilight sporting entries for both the Listed Wilgerbosdrift Ruffian Stakes and Listed Tab Storm Bird Stakes.

Drakenstein Stud’s prominent young sire One World came up with a smart looking debut winner at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth on Wednesday.
His two-year-old son Rich Man’s World made the perfect start to his career when he won the Hollywoodbets Kenilworth Welcomes You Maiden Juvenile Plate (1000m).

Under Richard Fourie, the Vaughan Marshall trained colt went out to race prominently.

Fourie kept Rich Man’s World going in the closing stages, and the pair stayed on strongly to post a convincing two length win.

His trainer described Rich Man’s World as a “very special horse” in the post race interview and he looks to have a bright future.

Rafeef’s two-year-old daughters Shezaripper and Sparkling Star both made eye catching debuts on Sunday when the pair finished first and second respectively in the Hollywoodbets Kenilworth Welcomes You Maiden Juvenile Plate (Fillies) (1000m).

The well bred pair settled down to fight out the finish, with the James Crawford trained, Luyolo Mxothwa ridden Shezaripper prevailing by a long neck.

The unstoppable Rafeef had yet another winner on Sunday in the form Spirit. The latter won the eleventh and final race at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth on Sunday for Piet and Elbert Steyn and Keagan De Melo.
Three-year-old Spirit stayed on gamely to hold off a low flying Objet D’ Art and win the Hollywoodbets Bright Future Class 4 (1200m) by a neck.
Owned by the Wernars Family in partnership with Mukund Gujadhur, the gelded Spirit was bred by Narrow Creek Stud.

Ridgemont’s promising young stallion Real Gone Kid came up with a second, first-crop winner on Sunday.
His two-year-old daughter Lady Jean got off the mark at the second time of asking when she won the Join The Race Coast Turf Club Maiden Juvenile Plate (1200m).

The Glen Kotzen trained filly was given a fine, front running ride by Chad Little, with Little keeping his mount going strongly in the closing stages.
Lady Jean showed plenty of heart in holding off runner up Vibe Check to win by a long neck.

Saturday’s winner joins impressive debut winner Master Mtoto as early winners for their Snitzel sire Real Gone Kid.

The latter, a son of the Jet Master sired champion In The Fast Lane, won six of just 13 starts, shares his four times Australian Champion Sire Snitzel with no fewer than 167 stakes winners including such successful sires as Shamus Award and Russian Revolution. Another son of Snitzel, Sword Of State, is currently one of the Leading First Season Sires in New Zealand this season.

Real Gone Kid has six lots on offer at the Cape Yearling Sale and a further four lots on the Premier Yearling Sale.

Ridgemont’s five time G1 winning stallion  Canford Cliffs came up with his 30th stakes winner on Saturday.
Canford Cliffs’ progressive son Miami Mountain became his sire’s latest black type winner when he won the G3 TAB National Currency Sprint (1100m) at Turffontein.

Trained by Mike and Mathew De Kock, the Canford Cliffs colt was given a well judged ride by Jeffrey Syster in Saturday’s R275 000 contest.

Syster bought Miami Mountain with a strong late run from the back of the field, and the pair scythed through the field to get up and win by just over three parts of a length.
The colt, who benefitted from blinkers in Saturday’s race, has won four of seven starts and has earned R394 013.

Multiple champion sire Gimmethegreenlight enjoyed a good day at Turffontein on Saturday when his classy daughter Green Diamond won the Betway Bauhinia Stakes (1000m).
Winner of both the G2 TAB SA Nursery and G3 TAB Protea Stakes last season, the Sean Tarry trained three-year-old made it three wins from seven starts with a polished performance on Saturday.

Under a good ride from Craig Zackey, the Drakenstein Stud bred and owned Green Diamond dropped out early on.

Zackey asked his mount for a response, and Green Diamond bounded forward from the back of the field.
The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight stayed on strongly in the closing stages and went away to win by more than a length and three quarters.

Out of the Trippi mare Lesedi La Rona, Green Diamond is bred on the same Gimmethegreenlight/Trippi cross as G1 winners Gimme A Prince, She’s A Keeper and The Real Prince.

Her G1 L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate winning sire Gimmethegreenlight is enjoying another fine season in 2025-2026, with his black type winners led by G1 L’Ormarins King’s Plate winner The Real Prince.

Ridgemont’s top-class resident sire Rafeef came up with an eye catching debut winner at Turffontein on Saturday.
His three-year-old daughter Rabble Rouser justified favouritism when she won the second race on the Turffontein card.

Trained by Sean Tarry, Rabble Rouser did well to win the Aquazania Maiden Plate (1160m), with the filly having acted up in the starting stalls prior to the race.
Under Keagan De Melo, the Rafeef filly was always prominent in the race, and she dug down deep to beat the more experienced Highwayman Harry by  a length.

Bred and owned by Drakenstein Stud, Rabble Rouser is out of Shout Out Lord, whose sire Philanthropist is from the same family as National Assembly, broodmare sire of Rafeef.

The latter is also the sire of the smart performers Poblano and Chasing Happiness, the second and third place finishers respectively in Saturday’s Betway Bauhinia Stakes.

Rafeef’s G1 TAB Computaform Sprint winning son William Robertson also caught the eye on Saturday when he ran second, to G1 Mercury Sprint winner Buffalo Storm Cody, in the Owa Ceilings Pinnacle Stakes.

His three-year-old daughter Shivering Light made the perfect start to her career when she won the Ross Robertson Maiden Plate (1160m).

Under Chase Maujean, the Tony Peter trained filly ran on strongly in the closing stages to best runner up Onceinablumoon convincingly by just over a length.

A R260 000 buy from the 2024 August Two Year Old Sale, Shivering Light, who is bred on the same Fire Away/High Chaparral cross as millionaire Military Command, is out of the High Chaparral mare Sassy Sal.

Her G3 Dixie Stakes winning sire Fire Away had also enjoyed success at Fairview the day before when Fire Away gelding Lanciafiamme picked up the fifth win of his career. Fire Away went close to enjoying feature race success at Turffontein on Saturday when his progressive son Pop Chart ran third in the G3 TAB National Currency Sprint.

Fire Away, whose progeny also include recent G3 Betway London News Stakes winner Fire Attack, has ten lots on the Cape Yearling Sale, and nine lots on at the Premier Yearling Sale.
