Lammerskraal Stud’s G1 winning sire Visionaire had a weekend to remember over the Easter holidays, when the son of Grand Slam was responsible for four winners.
Visionaire’s weekend four-timer included a pair of impressive two-year-old debut winners in the form of Gaian Glory and Into The Future respectively.

The Summerhill Stud bred Gaian Glory stamped herself a filly to follow when the Visionaire sired two-year-old romped home on debut by four and a half lengths (over fellow Visionaire first-timer Virtuosa) at Turffontein on Saturday.
Trained by Gary Alexander, Gaian Glory defied her lengthy odds to win as she liked over 1000 metres.

Second Visionaire juvenile to salute this weekend was the gelded Into The Future who scored by 3.3 lengths on debut when victorious over 1200m at Scottsville on Sunday for Robbie and Shannon Hill.

South Africa’s Leading First Crop Sire of 2014-2015, Visionaire is also responsible for the Brett Crawford trained Isikheto, who broke his maiden over 2000m at Greyville on Friday night, and for Nikiya, who romped home over 1000m on the same evening for trainer Michael Roberts.

Visionaire, whose progeny include such star performers as Takingthepeace, Africa Rising and Heaps Of Fun, has eight lots on offer at this week’s National Sale.
