Varsfontein Stud’s promising stallion Master Of My Fate continues to go from strength to strength as a stallion and the son of seven times champion South African sire Jet Master was at it again at the Vaal on Thursday.

His 3yo daughter Mistressofmyfate romped home at the first time of asking, when the Michael/Adam Azzie trained filly scored a in a maiden plate over 1400m.

Bred by Patricia Devine, the beautifully bred Mistressofmyfate ran on smartly, under jockey Marco Van Rensburg, to register a one length win at the first time of asking.

Mistressofmyfate, a ¾ sister to G1 Empress Club Stakes winner Stratos, is the latest member of Master Of My Fate’s first crop to impress.
Other members of this crop include multiple graded stakes Twist Of Fate (who has earned over R1.8 million in stakes thus far), Kenyan superstar Silverstone Air, G1 performer Goliath Heron, and feature race performer Gift For The Gap.

A winner of six of only eight races, the handsome Master Of My Fate (South Africa’s Leading First Crop Sire in 2017-2018 by individual winners) has four lots on offer at the 2019 March Yearling Sale –including a filly (Lot 55) whose dam is a daughter of speedy G2 winner Nothing But Silk, a  half-sister (Lot 87) to the smart performers Hard To Play and The Highway Man, and a colt (Lot 141) whose dam is a winning half-sister to the stakes winning Alvilda.
