Debut success for Captain Of All

Klawervlei Stud’s exciting young sire, and former champion sprinter, Captain Of All went close to dominating the two-year-old races on Gauteng Guineas day at Turffontein on Wednesday.

The triple G1 winner not only supplied an eye catching debut winning juvenile in the form of Fromheretoeternity, but Captain Of All two-year-olds, South East and Entente, finished second and third respectively in Turffontein’s second race on Wednesday.

The Paul Peter trained Fromheretoeternity, bred by David Allan, became Captain Of All’s latest debut winning two-year-old this season when making much of the running to win the first race on Wednesday.
Under Warren Kennedy, Fromheretoeternity keeping finding more in the closing stages of Wednesday’s 1160m contest to score a debut win by a head.

She joins Dad’s Catch (a winner of two of only three starts) and Captain’s Flo (who holds an entry for the G3 Kenilworth Fillies Nursery) as juvenile debut winners for Captain Of All this season.

Captain Of All, who also has two sons entered for the upcoming G3 Cape Of Good Hope Nursery, made a smashing start to his stud career and ended last season as South Africa’s Leading First Crop Sire.

One of the very best sons of Klawervlei’s late, great sire Captain Al (sire of 99 stakes winners including recent G1 Sun Met hero One World), Captain Of All has nine lots on this month’s Cape Yearling Sale including a filly (Lot 74) out of a six time winning half-sister to NZ G1 winner Dane Julia, a filly (Lot 78) from the family of Cape Cross, Diktat, Park Appeal and Shadayid, and a filly (Lot 173) out of a winning own sister to G2 Post Merchants winner Daring Dave.
