Debut winner for Master Of My Fate

5th January 2024

Varsfontein Stud’s homebred stallion Master Of My Fate came up with an eye-catching winner when his two-year-old daughter Splicethemainbrace won at Fairview on Friday afternoon.
Trained by Alan Greeff, Splicethemainbrace was given a positive ride by Richard Fourie to win Friday’s Welcome To Nelson Bay Maiden Juvenile Plate (Fillies) (800m) in game fashion.
Powering home down the inside of the track, Splicethemainbrace kept finding more in the closing stages to hold off runner-up Happy Holly and win by a head.
Bred by Varsfontein Stud, Splicethemainbrace was a R200 000 buy from the 2023 August Two Year Old Sale.
Splicethemainbrace, who is out of the Sail From Seattle mare Summer Cruise, is a full-sister to the useful Summer Odyssey.
Her sire Master Of My Fate is having another good season in 2023-2024 and is currently fourth on the South African General Sires List.
The son of champions Jet Master and Promisefrommyheart has four lots on offer at the upcoming Cape Racing Premier Yearling Sale Powered By Tattersalls and 11 lots on offer at the 2024 Cape Yearling Sale.
