Varsfontein Stud’s increasingly successful sire Master Of My Fate had a wonderful season in 2020-2021 and the son of Jet Master looks on track for another good season this year.

The former G2 Premier Trophy/G2 Peninsula Handicap victor came up with another eye catching winner on Thursday.

Master Of My Fate’s gelded son Fate Of Fortune made a big impression when he made a winning debut at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Thursday.

Trained by Alyson Wright, the Lammerskraal Stud bred three-year-old stormed home, under Kyle Strydom, to claim Thursday’s first race, a maiden plate over 1200m, by just over half a length.

Out of the Western Winter mare Marcheline, Fate Of Fortune was a R260 000 buy from the 2020 National Yearling Sale.

The gelding joins the likes of G2 Golden Slipper third Hollywoodbound and debut winners Mr Master Starter and Zapatillas as promising three-year-olds representing Master Of My Fate this season.

Runner up on the South African General Sires List in 2020-2021, Master Of My Fate has 15 lots on the upcoming August Two Year Old Sale.
