Varsfontein Stud’s successful, homebred stallion Master Of My Fate came up with an eye catching debut winner at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Monday.

His two-year-old son Question Master defied his starting price of 40-1 by winning the second race on the Greyville card, the Open A tabgold Account -031 314 1874 Maiden Juvenile Plate (1100m), in game style.
Under Jason Gates, the Robbie Hill trained gelding stayed on strongly to account for another first-timer, Gladatorian, by a long neck.
Bred by Varsfontein, Question Master is out of the Judpot mare Crackpot.
The two-year-old was an R80 000 buy from the 2021 Cape Yearling Sale.
South Africa’s second Leading Sire by stakes in 2020-2021, Master Of My Fate is set to be represented by his G1 Jonsson Workwear Garden Province Stakes winning daughter Zarina and G3 winning daughter Pretty Betty in Saturday’s G1 Scheweppes Majorca Stakes, son Zapatillas in the G3 Cape Racing Politician Stakes, and by his promising son Street Outlaw in Saturday’s Listed City Of Cape Town Summer Juvenile Stakes.
Another son of Master Of My Fate, Holy Warrior, contests Saturday’s G2 New Turf Carriers Western Cape Stayers.
The son of Jet Master has five lots on offer at the Cape Premier Yearling Sale, and a further eight lots on the Cape Yearling Sale.
