Varsfontein Stud’s top-class sire Master Of My Fate enjoyed another big weekend, led by his classy Anotherdanceforme’s success in the Listed TAB Casino Algoa Cup (2000m) at TAB Fairview on Sunday.
In landing the Algoa Cup, the top-class four-year-old was claiming the eighth black type win of her career, with Anotherdanceforme having won all 13 of her starts in the Eastern Cape.
Under regular rider Richard Fourie, the Alan Greeff trained Anotherdanceforme was sent off an 18-10 shot for Sunday’s Eastern Cape showpiece.
Given a typically confident ride, the four-year-old switched in late before hitting the front close home and going away to win by half a length. It was a fine effort from Anotherdanceforme, with the Master Of My Fate filly conceding 7.5kgs to runner up Prairie Dawn.
Bred by Varsfontein Stud, Anotherdanceforme is owned by Peter Moor.
Out of the What A Winter mare Destiny Dancer, Anotherdanceforme, who has won 13 of 15 starts, was a R650 000 buy from the 2024 National Yearling Sale.
She follows Han Solo (2022) as an Algoa Cup winner sired by Master Of My Fate.
Her inform sire Master Of My Fate, whose close relative Malmoos is responsible for Sunday’s Listed Konica Minolta SA Stakes winner Marchland, enjoyed notable success both as a sire and broodmare sire this past weekend.
Not only did the Master Of My Fate sired daughters Trickle Charge and Wedding Vow both win on Friday, but Master Of My Fate is the broodmare sire of promising filly Getorix Princess. The latter, who is out of the Master Of My Fate sired G1 Jonsson Workwear Garden Province Stakes winner Zarina, got off the mark at the second time of asking when she won at Hollywoodbets Durbanville on Saturday.
Master Of My Fate, whose high-class son Jet Force won the recent G3 Matchem Stakes, has four lots on offer at the October Two Year Old Sale.
