Elusive Fort colt maintains his unbeaten record

3rd December 2020

The Black Swan Stud based champion Elusive Fort looks to have a very exciting crop of 3yos this season, and another 3yo son of the triple G1 winning son of Fort Wood put his hand up when Kommetdieding won a tremendous race at Kenilworth on Wednesday.

A smart winner of last season’s Klawervlei Farm Sale Graduate Race (his only other start), the Harold Crawford/Michelle Rix Kommetdieding defied a 24 week break when storming home to win impressively over 1200m on Wednesday.

Under Sibhle Cele, the Klawervlei Stud bred colt pulled clear in the closing stages of Wednesday’s sprint to score by a length and a quarter while making it two wins from as many starts.

In landing Wednesday’s Tabonline.co.za Progress Plate, Kommetdieding accounted for a top-class field, with his vanquished rivals headed by Equus Champion Tempting Fate and high-class older gallopers King Of Gems and Sachdev.

Out of the Captain Al mare Adorable, Kommetdieding is bred on the same Elusive Fort/Captain Al cross as the talented siblings Ernie and Freedom Charter.

His sire had previously made waves at Turffontein on Saturday, when Elusive Fort’s exciting 3yo son Catch Twentytwo powered home to land Saturday’s G2 World Sports Betting Dingaans in fine fashion.
