Maine Chance Farms’ blue blooded young Dubawi horse Erupt hails from an outstanding female line, which continues to produce high-class winners at a rate of knots, and Erupt got another boost to his stellar pedigree page on Thursday.

His very close relative Zarakhan stamped himself a two-year-old to watch when he made a facile winning debut at Bordeaux Le Bouscat.

Not only was Zarakhan sired by Dubawi’s very promising young sire son Zarak, Zarakhan (out of a half-sister to triple G1 winner Charm Spirit) numbers the hugely influential mare Ciboulette ( dam of Erupt) as his fifth dam.

Other notable performers descended in female line from Ciboulette include top stallions Encosta De Lago, Flying Spur, and Holy Roman Emperor, while Ciboulette herself produced the very successful sire Night Shift among others.

Winner of both the G1 Juddmonte Grand Prix de Paris and G1 Pattison Canadian International, Erupt will attempt to join a growing list of top-class sire sons, headed by the likes of Night Of Thunder, New Bay, Makfi, Poet’s Voice and Zarak, of Dubawi when his first crop race later this season.
