Ascot Stud’s G1 SA Classic winning sire Heavenly Blue enjoyed graded success at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Sunday.
Heavenly Blue’s two-year-old son Fish Tales made it two wins from two starts when he won Sunday’s G2 World Pool Bet With Tote Umkhomazi Stakes (1200m).

Under a well judged ride from Mickaelle Michel, the James Crawford trained colt did well to overcome a wide draw of 11 when he stormed home to claim his biggest win to date by more than a length.

Bred by Ascot Stud, Fish Tales had won his only previous start when saluting by more than two and a quarter lengths at Turffontein.
Fish Tales, who is out of the Var mare Caviar, was a R375 000 buy from the 2025 August Two Year Old Sale.

His G1 winning sire Heavenly Blue is a son of Snitzel, who is set to be crowned Australia’s Champion Sire for a fifth time for 2025-2026.
