South Africa’s reigning champion sire Gimmethegreenlight looks to have a very exciting crop of three-year-olds this season, and the son of More Than Ready came up with yet another promising looking three-year-old winner at Durbanville on Saturday.

Gimmethegreenlight filly Dancetildaylight made it back to back wins, and two wins from just three starts, when she scored a convincing win in Saturday’s sixth race, the Racing Association FM 78 Handicap (1250m).
Under Aldo Domeyer, the Candice Bass-Robinson trained filly stormed home from off the pace to win going away by three-parts of a length.

Runner up on debut, before going on to win her only other two starts thus far, Dancetildaylight was bred by the Lammerskraal Stud.

A full-sister to G2 Ipi Tombe Challenge/G2 Tibouchina Stakes runner up In The Dance, Dancetildaylight was a R400 000 buy from the 2020 CTS Ready To Run, Unbroken 2 Year Old & Mixed Sale.

Out of the Fort Wood mare Akinfeet, Saturday’s winner is bred on the same Gimmethegreenlight/Fort Wood cross as the graded stakes winners Gee For Go, Green Pepper, Hack Green, and Second Base.

Dancetildaylight joins the likes of graded stakes winners Cosmic Highway and Gimme Dat, and Listed World Sports Betting Perfect Promise Sprint winner Mercury Rising as promising three-year-olds for Gimmethegreenlight this season.
