15th Mar 2017

Lammerskraal Stud’s exciting sire Visionaire had an most impressive juvenile winner at Scottsville on Wednesday afternoon.
The former G1 King’s Bishop Stakes winner’s son Real Vision  bolted up on debut to score by five and a half lengths over 1200m at the mid-week meeting, stamping himself a potential feature race contender in the making.

Bred by the Barton Hall Stud, Real Vision was a R230 000 purchase from last year’s National Yearling Sale.

The gelding, who is trained by Garth Puller, is the first winner for the Malhub mare Ashjaan.

A former leading first crop sire, Visionaire made a scintillating start to his stud career in South Africa, with his first crop producing Fillies Guineas winner Heaps Of Fun and G3 speedball Royal Pleasure. His second crop has also made a splash and they include G1 performers Africa Rising and Visuality as well smart performer Copper Pot.

He has been represented by just three juvenile runners this season, with two having either won or finished in the money.
