Sandown Stud’s resident sire, and G1 winning Irish champion, Pathfork is having a marvellous season in 2022-2023 and the son of Distorted Humor claimed another feature race when Pathfork’s four-year-old daughter And We Danced won the Listed Lady’s Bracelet (1600m) run at Fairview on Friday afternoon.
Trained by Sharon Kotzen, And We Danced made it five wins in a row with a thrilling victory in Friday’s R150 000 feature race.
Under Louis Mxothwa, And We Danced went out to make the running, and she kept finding more in the closing stages to account for another classy performer in the form of Santa Therese by a head.
The first two pulled eight lengths clear of third place finisher Phoenix.
Bred by World Wide Bloodstock, And We Danced has now won seven of 20 starts.
The four-year-old, who is out of the Commands mare Dance City Queen, is the 16th stakes winner for her sire.
Pathfork has enjoyed a superb season already in 2022-2023, and is also responsible for this season’s G2 Allied Steelrode- Onamission Charity Mile hero Bingwa, G3 Tony Ruffel Stakes victor Royal Victory and Listed Secretariat Stakes winner Jimmy Don.
