Pathfork son maintains his unbeaten record

25th November 2019

Cape sire, and former Irish Champion, Pathfork looks to have a useful sort on his hands in the form of Pearl Of Asia.

The latter made it two wins from as many starts when scoring a half-length win at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Sunday while making his first start out of the maidens and his first start since February.
Second in a barrier trial in February, the Riverton Stud bred Pearl Of Asia made an official winning racecourse debut when victorious over 1200m at Scottsville earlier this year, and he maintained his unbeaten record with a game performance on Sunday.

Pearl Of Asia, who is trained by Robbie and Shannon Hill, duly took his record to two wins from two starts when running down the inside of the track to score a half length win on Sunday.

Out of the Tiger Ridge mare Asiatic Pearl, Pearl Of Asia was a bargain R35 000 buy from the 2018 KZN Yearling Sale.

Pathfork, victorious in both the G1 boylesports.com Vincent O’Brien National Stakes and G2 Galileo EBF Futurity Stakes as a two-year-old, also enjoyed success at Fairview on Friday when his high-class daughter Madame Speaker scored a last minute win over 1600 metres.
Bred by Stanley Bennett, the four-year-old Madame Speaker made it win number eight, and second win in a row, when victorious in a conditions plate for fillies and mares.

War of Will

The East Cape Champion 2YO Filly of 2017-2018, Madame Speaker took her earnings past R760 000 with her win on Friday.

Pathfork, a half-brother to classic winner War Of Will, has had another good year in 2019, with his notable representatives including Model Man Mile hero Fools Gold, KZN star Marchingontogether, and Listed Tattersalls Summer Juvenile Stakes winner Miss Honey.
