Just days after one Querari three-year-old filly maintained her unbeaten record in the form of Gobsmacked, another three-year-old daughter of Querari made it three wins from three starts when Mythical Dream ran out a ready winner at the Vaal on Thursday afternoon.
Winner of her first two starts, the Johan Janse Van Vuuren trained Mythical Dream justified tote favouritism when she won the ninth and final race on the Vaal’s Classic track on Thursday.
Under a well timed ride from Gavin Lerena, three-year-old Mythical Dream powered home to land Thursday’s Next Vaal Racemeeting Tuesday 1 November FM 76 Handicap (1000m) by three-parts of a length and she looks destined for bigger and better things.
Bred by Narrow Creek Stud, Mythical Dream is out of the Jet Master mare Lightning Bird.
The unbeaten filly was a R130 000 buy from the 2021 National Yearling Sale.
Mythical Dream and Gobsmacked are just two of a number of classy fillies sired by Querari, with others including G1 Thekwini Stakes queen Querari Falcon and such graded stakes winners as Caya Coco, Cockney Pride, Cosmic Light, Homely Girl, and Mill Queen.
Querari is also enjoying increasing success as a broodmare sire, and his G2 The Debutante winning daughter Cosmic Light is dam of the useful Chyavana, who won a good race when victorious at the Vaal on Thursday.
