Lammerskraal were recently represented by their first Visionaire foal to arrive this season with the birth of this colt.
Described by Lammerskraal’s Sally Bruss as, “Smart!”, the colt is out of the well related Jet Master mare Berlinetta, a dual winner who ran third in the Listed Gardenia Handicap.
Berlinetta, out of six time winner and Listed Breeders Guineas heroine She’s All That, is a half or full sister to nine winners including G1 Premier’s Champion Stakes runner up Kilcoy Castle.
Another half-sister to Berlinetta is the dam of last season’s very smart filly Too Phat To Fly, runner up in both the Listed Perfect Promise Sprint and Listed Irridescence Stakes.
The colt is from the first book of mares served by Visionaire since relocating to Lammerskraal –and, if this colt is anything to go by, he looks on course for a very bright future indeed.
The leading first crop sire of his year, Visionaire got off to a flying start in South Africa, with his first crops producing such graded stakes winners as Africa Rising, Heaps Of Fun and Royal Pleasure.
Grand Slam’s G1 winning son will be represented by nine lots at next week’s National Two Year Old Sale in Germiston.
