Black Swan Stud’s inform resident stallion, and former Equus Champion, Elusive Fort, has had another fine season in 2020, and the son of Fort Wood ended the year on a high when his son Elusive Trader made it back to back wins in the Listed Southeaster Sprint.

Bred by Terry Andrews, the five-year-old had recorded a two length win in the 2019 Southeaster Sprint but had not won subsequently. However, the Greg Ennion trained Elusive Trader made amends with a fluent display in Saturday’s Southeaster Sprint (1100m), where he stormed home from off the pace to win impressively.

Under a well time ride from Anton Marcus, Elusive Trader hit the front 100m from home before going on to mow down his rivals and win going away by half a length.

Now a four time winner from 28 starts, Saturday’s win pushed Elusive Trader’s earnings to R1 540 300.
