GIMMETHEGREENLIGHT
South Africa’s reigning champion sire, his best include five time G1 winner and multiple Equus Champion Got The Greenlight and Australian/SA G1 winner Yulong Prince. His current star representatives include such graded stakes winners as Second Base, Cosmic Highway, Universal, Gimme Dat, and Vikram.
His yearlings made up to R2 000 000 at this year’s National Yearling Sale, where they averaged over R700 000.
GLOBAL VIEW
A son of Galileo, whose other sire sons include champion sire Frankel, he was South Africa’s Leading First Season Sire of 2019-2020. His top offspring thus far include East Cape champion Global Drummer (who has earned over R700 000 thus far), East Cape Fillies Nursery winner Sound Check, G3 Sycamore Sprint runner up Kissing Point, and this season’s smart two-year-old Forest Spy.
GOLD STANDARD
Winner of the G2 Selangor Cup and runner up in the G1 Cape Guineas, he is a son of champion sire Trippi out of a daughter of multiple champion racemare Olympic Duel. His first two-year-old runners this season include impressive winner Star Coin and promising filly Hold My Hand who ran second over 1200 metres while making her racecourse debut.
HAWWAAM
A five time winner, and Equus Champion at three, he won 10 of just 13 starts for earnings of more than R6.769 million in prize money. Like top stallions Dynasty and Vercingetorix, he won the G1 Daily News 2000 and like current sire sensation Vercingetorix, he is a son of multiple champion sire Silvano. Out of Jet Master’s G3 winning daughter, and multiple Broodmare Of The Year, Halfway To Heaven, he is a half-brother to Horse Of The Year Rainbow Bridge and dual G1 winner Golden Ducat.
HEAVENLY BLUE
A top-class racehorse, he won the G1 SA Classic at three and was also runner up in the G2 Dingaans and G3 Graham Beck Stakes. He is the only son of multiple Australian champion sire Snitzel at stud in South Africa with Snitzel also responsible for successful stallion Shamus Award and sensational young sire Russian Revolution. His first yearlings this year made up to R525 000 at the 2022 Cape Premier Yearling Sale.
HORIZON
A R5.2 million yearling buy, he won the G3 Politician Stakes and ran third in the G1 Daily News 2000 (a race won previously by the likes of Dynasty and Vercingetorix). He is a son of Dynasty, also sire of successful sires Act Of War, Futura and Legislate, and his dam is a full-sister to multiple champion sire Silvano. Horizon is a half-brother to 3 black type horses including Fillies Guineas winner Santa Clara.
