Not only did Rafeef filly Flower Island run out an impressive winner of Sunday’s 4Racing SA Sales Cup, but Rafeef colt Haute Couture made a hugely impressive winning debut when victorious in the first race.
Trained by Mike and Mathew De Kock, two-year-old Flower Island made it two wins from two starts when she won the 4Racing SA Sales Cup.
Under Callan Murray, the Rafeef filly stormed home to claim Sunday’s 1160m race by an emphatic two lengths.
Bred by Wilgerbosdrift & Mauritzfontein, Flower Island was a R500 000 buy from the 2025 National Yearling Sale.

Rafeef looks to have another exciting two-year-old to his name in the form of Haute Couture.
The latter made a stunning start to his career when winning Sunday’s 4Racing Welcomes You Maiden Juvenile Plate (1000m) by ten and a half lengths.
Another trained by Mike and Mathew De Kock, Haute Couture was bred by Wilgerbosdrift & Mauritzfontein.
