Varsfontein Stud’s red-hot sire Master Of My Fate has had a wonderful week, and the son of Jet Master came up with two more winners on Thursday.
Master Of My Fate colt Drivelikeamaster made the perfect start to his career when he made a winning debut at Turffontein.
Trained by Dianne Stenger, three-year-old Drivelikeamaster powered home, under Chase Maujean, to win Thursday’s Night Racing 15 November Book A Table Call 011 681 1796 Maiden Plate (1200m) by a long neck.
Bred by Varsfontein Stud, the colt is out of the Judpot mare Crackpot.
Drivelikeamaster was a R400 000 buy from the 2023 August Two Year Old Sale.
Master Of My Fate is also the sire of Montana Lights, with that filly getting off the mark with a convincing win on Thursday.
Trained by Johan Janse Van Vuuren, the Peter Van Schoor-bred filly romped home to shed her maiden by two and a half lengths.
Three-year-old Montana Lights, out of the Horse Chestnut mare Joan Ranger, made her fourth start on Thursday, having finished third last time out.
The filly was a R500 000 buy from the 2023 National Yearling Sale.
The inform Master Of My Fate, whose son Knight Warrior won for a ninth time on Wednesday, has enjoyed good feature race success this week.
Not only did his daughters Miss Marguerite and Love Is A Rose win the Listed Laisserfaire Stakes and run second in the Listed Woolavington Stakes on Saturday, but Master Of My Fate geldings Greeting My Master and Atticus Finch finished 1-3 in Monday’s G3 Betway Victory Moon Stakes.
His latest run of success has propelled Master Of My Fate to third place on the General Sires premiership.
