Tuesday double for Flower Alley

Wilgerbosdrift’s evergreen stallion Flower Alley came up with a pair of winners at the Vaal on Tuesday.
Flower Alley’s first success on Tuesday came when his daughter Damova made all to win the sixth race on the card.
Under a well judged ride from Craig Zackey, the Joe Soma trained mare kept finding out in front to win the #Youcanbetonus!MR 75 Handicap (2400m) by two and three quarter lengths.

Bred by Moutonshoek, Damova has won or placed in 16 of her 29 starts, with the mare having now won six times.

Out of the Silvano mare Tirza, Damova races for Ms S Wilson, Messrs T J Dodgen, A C Preddy & J A Soma & ANOA (Pty) Ltd (Nom: Andria Dannhauser).

Flower Alley gelding Royal Edition was another to receive a front running ride when he won the Next Vaal Racemeeting Thursday 04 September Middle Stakes (2000m).
Under Muzi Yeni, the Philip Labuschagne trained five-year-old stayed on well to score by nearly a length.

Bred by James Armitage, Royal Edition has earned more than R430 000 in stakes.
The gelding, who is out of the Kahir Almaydan mare So Royal, races for Mr Blome.

Flower Alley is the sire of 39 stakes winners headed by champions Princess Calla, I’ll Have Another and Lukes Alley.
