Maine Chance Farms’ red hot resident sire Vercingetorix had a wonderful season in 2020, and the former Equus Champion’s year is ending in good fashion, with Vercingetorix supplying two more winners at the Vaal on Tuesday.

Vercingetorix’s first success on Tuesday came when his gelded son Invincible Warrior made a winning debut over 1200m.
Bred, like his sire, by Klawervlei Stud, three-year-old Invincible Warrior ran on strongly, under Lyle Hewitson, to get up close home and win by a neck at the first time of asking.

The gelding is out of the Giant’s Causeway mare Giant’s Bounty.

With Invincible Warrior victorious in the Vaal’s third race, another son of Vercingetorix, Soul Connection, claimed the very next race in fine style.
Trained by Ashley Fortune, the four-year-old Soul Connection stayed on gamely under Calvin Habib
to post a half length win over 1200m.

A Klawervlei Stud bred gelding, Soul Connection has now three career victories to his name.
