Drakenstein Stud’s five time G1 winning stallion Duke Of Marmalade had a memorable Tuesday, when the champion son of Danehill supplied four winners on the eight race card at Fairview.
Progeny of Duke Of Marmalade captured four of Tuesday’s first five races, and reeled off a notable hatrick when claiming races three, four and five.

The Ndoro Stud bred two-year-old Agrademarmalade got off the mark when scoring a courageous win to land Tuesday’s first race. Trained by Gavin Smith, the Duke Of Marmalade dug down deep, under inform jockey Lyle Hewitson and stayed on to win by a head over 1200 metres. It was more than six lengths back to the third place finisher Aquaholic.
Out of the Victory Moon mare Song Of Victory, Agrademarmalade had been second in each of his three previous starts.
Duke Of Marmalade’s second success on Tuesday came when his Tara Laing trained daughter Madam Seville made it back to back wins when claiming the third race under Chase Maujean.
The three-year-old Duke Of Marmalade filly, yet to finish out of the first two in Fairview, stayed on strongly to win by a neck over 1200m.
Bred by Golden Touch Thoroughbred Services, in partnership with Mr Kidd, Madam Seville is out of the well performed Tamburlaine mare Reflective Image.
Duke Of Marmalade sons Pacific Duke and Imperious Duke went on to give their sire his third and fourth wins respectively on the day when winning races four and five.
The three-year-old Pacific Duke romped home to break his maiden by two and a quarter lengths for Sharon Kotzen and Luyolo Mxothwa, while his paternal half-brother Imperious Duke made much of the running to land the fifth race for Gavin Smith and Lyle Hewitson.
Pacific Duke was bred by Drakenstein Stud, while Imperious Duke was bred by Lammerskraal Stud.
The sire of more than 70 black type horses, Duke Of Marmalade (whose progeny have earned over $40 000 000 in prize money ) has six lots on offer at the upcoming CTS Farm Yearling Sale.
