Klawervlei Stud’s in-form sire Twice Over is not only a well established sire, but the four time G1 winner and European champion also hails from a bang in-form family.

His full-sister Dupe looks to have produced a smart performer in the form of lightly raced three-year-old filly Satono Cecil who romped home at just the second time of asking in Japan on Saturday.
Second on debut, Satono Cecil made no mistakes in Saturday’s 2000m contest, with the well bred filly sweeping home to a majestic two and a half length win.
This is also the family of versatile multiple G1 winner Yoshida who was third, beaten just a length, in Saturday’s G1 Woodward Stakes, when attempting to defend his Woodward Stakes title.
Now an earner of over $2.4 million in prize money , Yoshida appears likely to be aimed at the G1 Breeders’ Cup Classic (a race in which Twice Over himself ran third to champion Zenyatta (Street Cry) back in 2009) later this year.
Other notable performers from this excellent family include the G1 winners All At Sea, Passage Of Time, Hilda’s Passion, and former US Horse Of The Year and outstanding sire Damascus.
Twice Over, whose Wilgerbosdrift & Mauritzfontein bred daughter Three Times A Lady won a good race over 2000m on Friday, enjoyed an excellent season in 2018-2019, when his outstanding son Do It Again (subsequently crowned Horse Of The Year) swept all before him.
