South Africa’s reigning champion sire Vercingetorix looks to have yet another bright prospect to his name in the form of Wild Justice.
The latter made it two wins from two starts when he won at Hollywoodbets Scottsville on Sunday.
Trained by Gareth Van Zyl, three-year-old Wild Justice had impressed when he won on debut back in June.
He duly made it back to back wins when victorious in Sunday’s Hollywoodbets Bright Future Class 4 (1200m).
Under S’Manga Khumalo, Wild Justice bounded home to win convincingly by nearly a length and three quarters and the colt looks to have a bright future ahead of him.
Bred by La Plaisance Stud, Wild Justice races for Al Khayl Breeders (Pty) Ltd, Lucky Vest 12 CC (Nom: Mr Ravi Padayachee) & Miss Trinisha Pillay.
Sunday’s winner is out of the Captain Al mare Sovereign Flo and is thus bred on the same Vercingetorix/Captain Al cross as G1 winners Double Grand Slam, Mia Moo and Vernichey.
Wild Justice was a R900 000 buy from the 2024 August Two Year Old Sale.
He was one of two winners on Sunday for his champion sire, with Vercingetorix mare Arverni Princess victorious in the sixth race at Hollywoodbets Scottsville.
