Maine Chance Farms’ red hot sire Vercingetorix continues to impress as a hugely exciting stallion, and the former Equus Champion looks to have produced yet another smart performer from his first crop in the form of the Mike de Kock trained Tallinn.

The latter made it three wins from as many starts when romping home to an impressive victory on the Turffontein inside track on Saturday.
Bred by Maine Chance Farms, the 3yo filly showed her class when stretching clear, under jockey Callan Murray, to post a facile 3.25 length over some promising male rivals in a MR 91 handicap for 3yos on Saturday.

Out of the Pivotal mare Tumbelini, Tallinn had won on debut, when scoring over 1200m, before going on to win her only other start over 1450 metres.

A R225 000 buy from the 2018 Cape Premier Yearling Sale, the filly looks set for bigger and better things ahead.

Tallinn is one of 24 first crop winners, thus far, sired by her multiple G1 winning sire Vercingetorix, who was never beaten in South Africa.
The champion son of champion sire Silvano is set to be represented by his son Padre Pio in Saturday’s G3 Cape Classic, and by his East Cape champion Hooves Of Troy in Friday’s Listed Racing Association Stakes.
