Lammerskraal Stud’s G1 winner and G1 sire Visionaire looks to have a smart two-year-old on his hands in the form of Minnesota Dream.

The latter caught the eye when winning at the first time of asking, over 1000m at Kenilworth on Saturday, -despite being slow away and losing considerable ground at the start.
Ridden by S’Manga Khumalo, the Joey Ramsden trained Minnesota Dream quickened up smartly to go away and score a three-parts of a length win –at the first time of asking.

Bred by Summerhill Stud, Minnesota Dream was a R400 000 buy from the 2018 Cape Premier Yearling Sale.

His sire Visionaire, whose first three 2yos to run this season have all either won or finished in the money, also had a smart mid-week winner last week. His son Forthelastime made it two wins, from just six outings, when romping home by nearly three lengths for trainer Dennis Drier and jockey Sean Veale over 1600m at Greyville last Wednesday and looks a useful sort in the making.
