Trainer Glen Kotzen looks to have a well above average two-year-old in the form of Good Traveller.

The latter, a gelding by Lammerskraal’s G1 winning sire Visionaire, made it three wins from three starts when he ran out a comfortable winner of the G3 Godolphin Barb Stakes (1100m) at Hollywoodbets Scottsville on Sunday afternoon.
A brilliant winner on debut, the Lammerskraal bred gelding made it two wins from two starts next time out when beating subsequent winner Party Time over 1200 metres, and he made it three wins from three starts with a professional display on Sunday.
Under inform jockey Grant Van Niekerk, Good Traveller was always up with the pace and when front runner Social Image dropped out of contention close home, the Kotzen trained gelding kicked on to score an impressive win, scoring by over a length and three-quarters.
Good Traveller, who claimed his first graded win in a time of 63.63 seconds, was a R200 000 buy from the 2020 National Sale.
His G1 King’s Bishop Stakes winning Visionaire was South Africa’s Leading First Season Sire of 2014-2015, and Leading Second Season Sire the following season.
Visionaire, whose progeny include G1 winner Takingthepeace and fellow Fillies Guineas winner Heaps Of Fun, has a number of smart two-year-olds to his name this season.
They include not only Good Traveller, but also the smart Norton Sound, a winner of his first two starts and runner up last time out in the Listed East Cape Nursery.
A son of Grand Slam, Visionaire went close to having a graded race double on Sunday, with his daughter Keep The Lights On finishing a close up third in the G3 Poinsettia Stakes.
