Under Girish Dookhit, the Alyson Wright trained gelding was always prominent in Wednesday’s Lucky Fish Winning Streak Apprentice Class 5 (1600m), with Ultra Quick staying on strongly to win by a neck.

Bred by Lammerskraal Stud, Ultra Quick has won six of his 49 starts. The gelding, who is out of the Parade Leader mare Furina, races for Rikesh Sewgoolam.

Querari’s second success on Wednesday came when his six-year-old son Donquerari won the www.gallop.co.za B Stakes (1000m).
Under a well timed ride from Blaine Marx-Jacobson, the Louis Goosen trained gelding stormed home to get up and win by nearly half a length.
