Klawervlei Stud’s G1 winning and G1 producing sire Seventh Rock has been in prolific form over the past few weeks, and the son of Rock Of Gibraltar was at it again this weekend.

Seventh Rock had a trio of winners this past weekend, with his winners coming in all of Mauritius, South Africa and Zimbabwe.
His blue blooded daughter Red Granite romped home to land a pinnacle stakes over 1600m at Fairview on Friday, with the four-year-old leaving talented stakes winner Beataboutthebush trailing in her wake. Trained by Tara Laing, Red Granite has now won or placed in eight of her 14 outings.

Seventh Rock also enjoyed success at Champ De Mars this weekend, with his son Pride Rock scoring over 1365m on Saturday.

The former G1 Gold Medallion winning Seventh Rock is also the sire of talented Zimbabwean three-year-old Israel, who won his third race at Borrowdale on Sunday –from just five starts. Bred by the Rumbavu Park Stud, the consistent gelding had been second at his last three outings, with his placed efforts including a runner up finish in the 2018 G3 Zimbabwe Derby.

Other notable recent winners for Seventh Rock this season include debut winner Three Stars, high class sprinter Rocky Valley (fifth in the recent G1 Computaform Sprint), and the smart filly Colour Of Light (a winner of three of her first five outings).
