Weekend treble for impressive Master Of My Fate

8th April 2019

Varsfontein Stud’s increasingly successful young stallion Master Of My Fate had another memorable weekend this past week.
The magnificent son of champions Jet Master and Promisefrommyheart had two impressive winners on Saturday, a juvenile winner on Sunday, and another son, the progressive 3yo Triple Fate Line, also catching the eye when third in Sunday’s G3 Byerley Turk at Greyville.

Lucky Dancer, one of his sire’s very first winners, picked up the second win of his career when scoring a one length win over 2000m at Durbanville on Saturday.
Trained by Joey Ramsden (who also trains the Master Of My Fate sired millionaire Twist Of Fate), the Ditro Bloodstock bred gelding was trying the 2000m trip for a first time on Saturday –having broken his maiden, second time out, when successful over 1000m!

Master Of My Fate’s second winner at Durbanville on Saturday came via the Brett Crawford trained Indi Anna who stayed on nicely to score a 2.25 length win over 1400m –despite having a wide draw to overcome.
The Klipdrif Stud bred 3yo has now won two of her last three starts and has won or placed in four of only six starts thus far.

Master Of My Fate looks to have some very exciting two-year-olds in 2018-2019, with the likes of unbeaten Ruffian Stakes winner Basadi Faith and debut winner Master Of Illusion among them. The strapping bay was responsible for a sixth juvenile winner this season, when his 2yo daughter Elnora scored  a half-length win over 1000m at Greyville on Sunday.
Making just her second official start, Elnora was bred by the Piemonte Stud.

Twist Of Fate

Her dual G2 winning sire Master Of My Fate has quickly established himself as a very exciting prospect, with his first crop having already yielded classic star Silverstone Air, the aforementioned Twist Of Fate, Derby Trial hero Gift For The Gap and the promising Triple Fate Line –who looks a legitimate contender for some of KZN’s biggest races for 3yos.

Master Of My Fate has 26 lots on offer at the 2019 National Sale, including yearlings out of such stakes winning mares as Aquila Rapax, Blushing Fairy, My Kazzie, Size Em Up, Sovereign Beat, Townsend and Valor Red.
