Twice Over relative makes waves at Fasig-Tipton

22nd May 2019

A filly, from the same family as Klawervlei Stud’s successful sire Twice Over, proved popular at this week’s Fasig-Tipton Midatlantic Two-Year-Olds In Training Sale.
Sired by dual G1 winner Palace, the filly (Lot 384) was consigned by Eddie Woods, Agent, and knocked down to Speedway Stable for $570 000.

This makes the Palace filly the fourth top lot sold off the Midatlantic Two-Year-Olds In Training Sale in 2019.

Speedway Stable’s Peter Fluor said of the buy, “She had a great work. I loved her composure and her classand she has a nice dam.We were looking for an athlete and she was very impressive to us. Obviously a lot ofother people liked her, too.”

A half-sister to Iowa Oaks winner Theperfectvow, the pricey filly was produced by six time winning Broken Vow mare Prenuptial Vow- who shares her third dam with the outstanding Twice Over.

Other G1 winners in this immediate family include US champion Banshee Breeze, Yoshida, Mutual Trust, Passage Of Time, Timepiece and Oaks runner up All At Sea.

European champion, and four time G1 winner, Twice Over made a great start to his stud career with his very first crop producing Equus Champion Do It Again, G1 Tsogo Sun Gold Medallion hero Sand And Sea and triple graded stakes winner Doublemint –to name a few!
