Maine Chance Farms’ inform sire Querari, South Africa’s Leading Sire of 2Yos for 2018-2019, looks to have come up with yet another above average two-year-old in the form of Rapid Fire.

The latter put up an impressive debut when romping home to a two and a quarter length debut win, when scoring over 1000m at the Vaal on Tuesday afternoon.

Trained by Michael and Adam Azzie, Rapid Fire was ridden to victory by Raymond Danielson.

Out of the Tale Of The Cat mare Flame Cat, Rapid Fire was a R75 000 buy from last year’s Emperors Palace National 2YO Sale.

She is the third two-year-old winner for Querari this season thus far, with her G1 winning sire also responsible for impressive debut winner Slalom Queen (a runner in Saturday’s Listed Storm Bird Stakes), and Herrin.

A son of champion sprinter Oasis Dream, Querari has had another good season in 2019-2020 thus far, with his progeny having already earned in excess of R6.1 million in prize money.
