Danika Stud, breeders of such champions as Kings Gambit and Kochka, will be offering a very smart colt at the 2020 Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale.

The farm, who consigned the top lot at last year’s KZN Yearling Sale, will be offering a colt by What A Winter at this year’s National Sale.

Triple Equus Champion What A Winter, whose runners this season include such standout G1 winners as Clouds Unfold, Russet Air and Warrior’s Rest, is represented in Danika’s draft by Cavalier King (Lot 421).

The latter is out of a winning Captain Al own sister to the useful Captain Tempest and close relative of G1 winning two-year-old Exhilatation, and Cavalier King’s granddam, Stormy Summer, is a winning Elliodor half-sister to two graded stakes winners including G1 Vodacom Durban July winner Power King.

Further back, this is also the family of short-lived champion Wendywood and G1 Summer Cup hero Malteme.
