Connemara Stud will be offering five well bred yearlings at the 2020 Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale later this year.

All five of the Connemara yearlings were sired by G1 winners, with their draft including yearlings sired by such popular stallions as Gimmethegreenlight, Soft Falling Rain and What A Winter, to name just three.
Sire sensation Gimmethegreenlight is represented here by Lemme Go (Lot 171), and this colt (a half-brother to the very useful Johnny Black) is out of a half-sister to G1 Paddock Stakes winner Emblem Of Liberty.
The well related Lemme Go also numbers international G1 winners Approach The Bench (Eddie Read Hcp), Argument (Washington DC International) and Famous Digger (Del Mar Oaks) as close relatives.
Icy Night (Lot 42), a filly who shares her champion sprinter sire What A Winter with recent G1 winners Clouds Unfold, Russet Air and Warrior’s Rest, is out of the regally bred Jet Master Be Mine Tonight. The latter, who won six and who ran third in the G3 Acacia Handicap, hails from a truly outstanding international female line, with Be Mine Tonight’s relatives including such notable G1 winners as Imperial Beauty, Jan Vermeer, and Kentucky Derby winning champion Bold Forbes.

Further back, this is also the family of South Africa’s champion sire Trippi.
Short-lived champion Soft Falling Rain is the sire of Thunder Shower (Lot 80), a filly whose dual winning dam is a half-sister to Winter Ade, runner up in the G2 Gauteng Fillies Guineas, and dam of this season’s current high-class 3yo filly Rio’s Winter.
Thunder Shower also hails from the family of Olympic Duel Stakes winner Come To Light, sired, like Soft Falling Rain, by the late National Assembly.
Somethin Special (Lot 156), a filly by triple G1 winner Jackson, is out of a full-sister to G1 Golden Slipper winner All Afire, while Panchita (Lot 321), a filly by the vastly underrated Go Deputy, is a three-parts sister to G3 Kings Cup winner Pessoa.
The National Sale is set to take place on July 31st and August 1st, and the catalogue can be viewed online at www.bsa.co.za
