Bred and owned by Drakenstein Stud, the three-year-old filly pulled clear, under Aldo Domeyer, to score a half-length debut win for trainer Candice Bass-Robinson.
Chat Ching, who is out of the Casey Tibbs mare Cash Register, is one of several promising sorts representing Cartier Champion Duke Of Marmalade currently.

Others include fellow debut winner Rise As One and the classy Our Prized Jewel -a winner of three of her first four starts.

Duke Of Marmalade, whose daughter Temple Grafin won last season’s G1 Jonsson Workwear Garden Province Stakes, is currently responsible for more than 70 black type horses, with his progeny having captured such major international prizes as the G1 Ladbrokes St Leger, G1 Prix de Diane, G1 Deutsches Derby, G1 Gold Cup and G1 Premio Lydia Tesio -to name but a few.
