Unbeaten in seven starts, the Wilgerbosdrift & Mauritzfontein bred filly was also named Equus Champion 3YO Filly for the last season.

Trained by Paul Peter, Summer Pudding won all six starts she made in 2019-2020, with her wins including a sweep of South Africa’s Triple Tiara (G2 Wilgerbosdrift Gauteng Fillies Guineas, G1 Wilgerbosdrift SA Fillies Classic, and G2 Wilgerbosdrift SA Oaks), as well as the G1 Woolavington 2000.

Out of the Strike Smartly mare Cherry On The Cake, Summer Pudding is Silvano’s first offspring to be named Horse Of The Year.
