Fresh off dominating the feature race action at Turffontein on Saturday, Varsfontein Stud’s very much inform champion sire Gimmethegreenlight was once again to the fore at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Monday.

The son of More Than Ready supplied two more winners on Monday, with the stallion’s son Beyondtheboundary winning the first race at Greyville, and Gimmethegreenlight daughter Princess Tea landing the eighth and final race on Monday.

Trained by Alyson Wright, three-year-old Beyondtheboundary was sent off a well backed favourite for Monday’s Gold Circle Wishes You A Happy New Year Maiden Plate (1400m), with the gelding having finished fourth on his only previous start.
Under Warren Kennedy, Beyondtheboundary made no mistakes on Monday, drawing off to win by just over a length and a quarter.

Bred by Patricia Devine Investments (Pty) Ltd, Beyondtheboundary is out of the Jet Master mare Soft Landing and is thus bred on the same cross as graded stakes winners Green Plains, La Bella Mia and One Night In Paris.

Gimmethegreenlight’s second winner on Monday came when his three-year-old daughter Princess Tea won the Hollywoodbets Bright Future FM 69 Handicap (F&M) (1200m).
Under Jason Gates, the lightly raced Princess Tea made much of the running in Monday’s race, and she stayed on well in the closing stages to claim her second career win, from just seven starts, (and her second win in her last three starts) by nearly three-parts of a length.

Bred by Willem Engelbrecht Jr, Princess Tea was a R230 000 buy from the 2020 National 2YO Sale.

Her champion sire Gimmethegreenlight recently made headlines when his sons Second Base and Johnny Hero finished 1-2 in the G3 London News Stakes.
