Varsfontein Stud’s inform stallion Master Of My Fate looks to have come up with a very smart two-year-old in the form of Splicethemainbrace.
The latter made it five wins frm five starts when she won the Listed Lady’s Slipper Stakes (1400m) at Fairview on Friday afternoon.
Victorious in the Listed East Cape Fillies Nursery and Listed East Cape Nursery at her two previous starts, the Alan Greeff trained filly made it a hatrick of Listed wins when she won on Friday.
Under Richard Fourie, Splicethemainbrace put her head down where it mattered most to land the 2024 Lady’s Slipper Stakes by a head.
Bred by Varsfontein Stud, the two-year-old is out of the Sail From Seattle mare Summer Cruise.
Splicethemainbrace was a R200 000 buy from the 2023 August Two Year Old Sale.
She is one of five two-year-old winners this season for her sire, with Master Of My Fate also sire of the very promising colt Talk To The Master.
The son of Jet Master has had another fine season in 2023-2024, with Master Of My Fate currently fourth on the South African General Sires List.
