Multiple champion sire Gimmethegreenlight came up with his 78th stakes winner on Friday.
Gimmethegreenlight filly Gimmethatpearl picked up the biggest win of her career when victorious in the Listed East Cape Paddock Stakes (1600m) at Fairview.
Trained by Justin Snaith, the four-four-year-old was given a fine ride by Muzi Yeni in Friday’s Listed feature.
Yeni bought his mount with a well timed late run, which saw Gimmethatpearl barge through a gap and power away to win going away by a length and a quarter.
Bred and owned by Drakenstein Stud, Gimmethatpearl is out of the Horse Chestnut mare Chestnuts N Pearls.
The filly has won five of 14 starts and has earned R411 906.
Her outstanding sire Gimmethegreenlight recently made headlines when his son The Real Prince captured the G1 Hollywoodbets Durban July.
One of 13 G1 winners for Gimmethegreenlight, The Real Prince took his earnings to R3,404,094 with his July triumph.
