Ridgemont Highlands’ multiple G1 winning sire Jackson has been in tremendous form this season, with the former G1 Investec Cape Derby winner’s three-year-olds proving particuarly prolific.

Jackson again made headlines at Kenilworth on Tuesday afternoon, when his three-year-old daughters Eva Eileen and Flame Tree finished 1-2 in Tuesday’s Listed Winter Solstic Stormsvlei Stakes (1600m).

The Patrick Kruyer trained Eva Eileen unleashed an impressive turn of foot, under jockey MJ Byleveld, to get up to deny her paternal half-sister victory in Tuesday’s Listed feature by a long neck.
Bred by part-owner Rick Achmat, Eva Eileen took her tally of wins to three, from ten starts, and three wins from her last four starts by landing her first stakes win in the midweek feature.

Out of the Captain Al mare Captain’s Catch, Eva Eileen joins the likes of the afore mentioned Flame Tree, dual G3 winner Pretty Young Thing, CTS Ready To Run Stakes winner Pure State and R2.652 million earner Count Jack as notable three-year-olds for Jackson this season.

At the time of writing, Jackson sired three-year-olds have banked more than R5.827 million in 2019-2020.
