Promising 3yo filly Aloe Vera, whose granddam is a half-sister to Hemel ‘N Aarde’s resident sire Alado, made it two wins from as many starts when she won the Listed Height Of Fashion Stakes at Goodwood on Thursday.

The 3yo Invincibible Spirit filly was coming straight from a maiden success at Chepstow just three weeks ago, but the Ralph Beckett-trained three-year-old took the step up to Listed company in her stride as she pulled clear of the opposition in the final half-furlong.
Aloe Vera romped home to post her first Listed victory by an emphatic three lengths, stamping herself a very exciting prospect in the process.
The filly is out of the Galileo mare Almiranta and is a full-sister to G3 Prix Thomas Bryon winner Alea Iacta and half-sister to G2 Park Hill Stakes winner Alyssa.
Aloe Vera’s third dam is dual G1 Champion Stakes winner Alborada, whose progeny include Cape sire Alado.
Further back, this is the same female line as recent standouts Golden Horn and Cracksman, to name but two.
