Australian success for Gimme relative

21st December 2018

Pierrless, whose G1 winning dam is a half-sister to Varsfontein Stud’s boom stallion Gimmethegreenlight, picked up her second career victory when winning at Moonee Valley on Friday.

National Park

A three-year-old daughter of Pierro, Pierrless scored a convincing one length score when landing the Ladbrokes Handicap over 1500m for trainers David and Ben Hayes and Tom Dabernig and jockey Luke Nolen.

The filly has now won two of her last three starts.

Pierrless is out of the top-class Mossman mare Ofcourseican, who won eight times, from 1000-1500m, with her scores including the 2012 G1 Coolmore Classic where she accounted for the G1 winners Secret Admirer, King’s Rose, Yosei and Streama.

Ofcourseican, who has a Not A Single Doubt filly on offer at the 2019 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale, is a half-sister to 2012 G1 L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate winner and leading sire Gimmethegreenlight.

This is the family of group winning half-siblings Girl Guide and Gregers.

Rose In Bloom

South Africa’s Leading First Crop Sire of 2015-2016, Gimmethegreenlight is enjoying another excellent season in 2018-2019 with his recent winners including the feature race winners National Park, Rose In Bloom, Simona and Stream Ahead.

The son of More Than Ready has 13 lots on offer at the 2019 Cape Premier Yearling Sale.
