Maine Chance Farms’ exciting young sire Querari enjoyed another memorable weekend when the former champion was represented by a trio of winners.

First of the Querari sired winners to prevail was promising 2yo Spring Breeze, who ran on smartly to score by just under a length over 1000m at Turffontein on Saturday.
The consistent filly has now won or placed in all of her four starts to date and she should not stop here. Out of the West Man mare Scented East, Spring Breeze was a R200 000 buy from last year’s National 2YO Sale.
Querari is also sire of promising 2yos – Listed East Cape Fillies Nursery hope Joking and the very impressive 2yo winner Made In Hollywood, while seven of his ten 2yo runners this season have either won or run in the money.
Second Querari winner on Saturday came in the form of the La Plaisance bred La Favourari, who picked up his fourth career win when successful in a roughly run race over 1000m at Kenilworth. The consistent four-year-old has now won or placed in 11 of just 13 outings and he is yet another credit to his sire.

Querari’s third and final winner this weekend came in the form of the Maine Chance Farms bred Warfarer, who romped home to win by three and a quarter lengths at Greyville on Sunday.
A son of champion sprinter Oasis Dream (sire of more than 100 stakes winners and counting!), Querari has 12 lots on offer at May’s National Yearling Sale, including a colt out of a half-sister to an Argentine G1 winner (Lot 50), a full-sister to G1 Thekwini Stakes winner Querari Falcon (Lot 107), a half-sister to G3 Fillies Mile runner up Tambalang (Lot 150) and a filly out of a full-sister to G1 winner Ivory Trail (Lot 218).
