Ridgemont’s five time G1 winning stallion Canford Cliffs came up with an eye catching two-year-old winner on Friday.
His daughter Instaworthy made a winning debut when she won the Welcome To Nelson Mandela Bay Maiden Juvenile Plate (800m).
Under Gareth Wright, the Gavin Smith trained filly was always up with the pace in Friday’s contest at Fairview.
Instaworthy kept going strongly in the closing stages and stayed on to score by half a length.
Bred by Ridgemont Highlands, Instaworthy is out of the Great Britain mare Hashtag Strat.
Her sire Canford Cliffs, himself a brilliant G2 Coventry Stakes winner at two, is no stranger to siring high-class two-year-olds.
Among Canford Cliffs’ past top juveniles are group/graded winners Most Beautiful, Painted Cliffs, Cliff Hanger, and Simply Majestic as well as the likes of Almond Sea, Cliff Top and Salouen.
