Klawervlei Stud’s blue blooded young sire Coup De Grace received another boost to his pedigree when his half-brother The Dustman got off the mark on Wednesday.

The Dustman,a gelded son of dual Breeders’ Cup Classic winner Tiznow, stayed on smartly to record a one length triumph over five furlongs, while making just his second start of the year.

Coup De Grace and The Dustman share their G3 placed dam Home Court with G1 Alcibiades Stakes winner Dancing Rags with their granddam being champion, and G1 Breeders’ Cup Distaff winner, Jewel Princess.

Further back, this is also the family of champion Queen Empress and the G1 winning sprinter Silver Fling.

Coup De Grace, who shares his multiple champion sire Tapit with red hot US stallion Constitution, has made a pleasing start with his first crop including 19 runners who have either won or finished in the money.
