Varsfontein Stud’s homebred stallion Master Of My Fate is having another fine season in 2023-2024, and the son of Jet Master came up with a smart looking debut winner at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth on Tuesday.
His two-year-old daughter Polynomial made the perfect start to her racing career when making a winning debut over 1200m on Tuesday.
Trained by Greg Ennion, Polynomial stormed home to win the Cape Racing Sales Maiden Juvenile Plate (Fillies) by a length and a half.
Ridden to victory by Corne Orffer, Polynomial is out of the Gimmethegreenlight mare Aunt Polly.
The Varsfontein Stud bred two-year-old was a R100 000 buy from the 2023 National Yearling Sale.
Polynomial’s sire also enjoyed success as a broodmare sire on Tuesday with Master Of My Fate broodmare sire of the first race winner, In The Green Zone.
Master Of My Fate had also enjoyed success at Turffontein on Sunday when his promising three-year-old son Mastership won the Egoli Mile.
Trained by Diane Stenger, the gelded Mastership has now won his last three in a row.
Bred by longstanding racing supporters, Cecil Baitz and his Aussie based Veterinarian son Gary, Mastership was a R300 000 buy from the 2022 November Two Year Old Sale.
Currently fourth on South Africa’s General Sires premiership, Master Of My Fate has ten lots on sale at the KZN Yearling Sale.
