Maine Chance Farms’ prominent sire Querari is having another fine year with his two-year-olds, and the son of Oasis Dream came up with another smart looking juvenile winner when his son At My Command made a winning debut at Durbanville on Wednesday.

Trained by Brett Crawford, At My Command raced midfield for much of Wednesday’s www.caperacing.co.za Maiden Juvenile Plate (1250m), and when Keagan De Melo asked the question, the handsome colt powered home down the inside of the track to win emphatically by two lengths.
The race proved a great triumph for Querari, who is not only sire of the winner, but also runner up Charlie Malone.
At My Command, described by the winning jockey as a “really smart individual”, is the seventh two-year-old winner for Querari, who is currently South Africa’s Leading Sire of 2YOs.
Bred by Varsfontein Stud, At My Command was a R260 000 buy from the 2021 National Yearling Sale.
His sire, South Africa’s Leading Sire of 2YOs in 2018-2019, is also responsible for this season’s Listed Ruffian Stakes heroine River Queraress -a leading contender for Saturday’s G3 Protea Stakes.
